As with most people, inspiration is usually spontaneous and highly uncurated. I pull my thoughts and ideas from various looks and things. Some, not even clothes. These pictures inspired me in June.
ps. Yes, I arduously tried to layout the pictures in this manner, different sized pictures with gaps and stuff therefore it looks like a real inspiration board.

Shall I say new, or reclaimed?
I actually got these sunnies about the beginning of fall last year, which meant that I wasn’t going to be able to wear them. Well, I did for a while until I one of the handles (thing on top of your ear) broke off. It took me until 2 weeks ago to get it repaired. They’re back and I still love how huge they are.
The brand is Mikli, seems like it’s for women and according to the sunglasses, it’s made in Paris… Any ideas, opinions about the brand?

A DIY desk fan—an example of minimalism that tickles my fancy c/o source
I cleared out everything in my room, painted all the walls white and put back a bed, a nightstand and a mirror. Just 5 minutes ago, I was lying on my bed looking around my room and realizing how at peace I was. It felt free and, liberating; but most importantly it made me realize. I really did not need a lot of the stuff I had cluttered all over my room. Of course I won’t be really happy with a room this bare, but I also couldn’t think properly in my room before. (For everyone’s sake, I am not posting any pictures of my room—it’s horrid!)
I guess I really should’ve known before that I was actually a minimalist. I briefly talked about minimalism, especially in clothing back in the summer time last year. Due to their enviable ability to live with “minimalism”, Sabrina Meijer and Ivania carpio had huge amounts of coverage in my blog. I slightly moved away from the idea of minimalism because it freaked me out, which I’m sure is the reason why most people stray away from minimalism. Minimalism is clinical, sterile and very much lacking in personality in some instances.
Now though, I think I shall stick to my true self. No, I am not a minimalist, but neither am I the opposite–whatever it may be called. I just know now to stick to simplicity and throw away a lot of stuff. In fact, I expect to throw away about a third of all my clothes in the next few weeks…
So just a little bit of a mental image with my room—imagine something from an IKEA catalog, something mid-century modern-ish(which btw, I think is the PERFECT approach in minimalism). There are 4 things I need my 8x10 ft room to be.A place to sleep,lounge,work (including the creation of blog content), and store.
To bring resolution to this, I will be utilizing vertical space. I will have a low loft bed with a 3-4ft. clearance underneath which will be a place to store all of my clothes. Inside the built-in closet will be my new office/work area, fitted with a table throughout its entire length,plenty of shelving, and some kick-ass lighting that will sure motivate me to work. A soft furry carpet shall be spread across floor accompanied with small pillows to make the space lounge-able. Finally, the all white walls allow me to capture some blog-content if I get the lighting right. As for the colour scheme, I still haven’t decided but I’m leaning towards sunny yellow, a light tangerine and a kind of lovely teal.

Like I’ve mentioned before, random outfit posts usually get a number title. The weather was quite nice that day spring-y/summer-y. I also exploited the chance to wear my new sunnies, even for just a little while
diy alert: The striped tee I’m wearing was actually a long sleeved tee. Isaac Likes talked about turning a sweater (preferably gray) into a tee for the summer months. It seemed easy enough to do so I went for it. Here’s the post (#2) Read the rest of his blog as well. I love his insights on basically everything!

Shabby chic coolness 2.0 !!! Sorry, I just really had to show this.
This! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for for quite some time now. A “real” instant emergency camera.It fits easily into a little pouch and can be pulled out for completely spur of the moment things. The problem with the others is that they’re probably too bulky, too sucky, or too pricey.I understand that there are smartphones/iphones which can do the job much better but the “cute kitsch” factor just radiates off of it so much. I can’t really say anything more, other than the fact that I want it SO MUCH! For $20-30 bucks a piece, I’d probably be sucked into buying my own once they get into the market.
To sum everything all up, guys this is my version of “lomography” It’s a no-bullshit type of approach, without the film. ugh, I hate film!
edit: The Knappa will NOT be sold in Ikea stores and was just a marketing tactic… Off to Ebay to find one then

Day by day, I’m selling a little piece of my soul to the devil.
I could say these are my first ever “designer” piece, a pair of sunglasses from Emporio Armani.I’ve always wanted to get a nice basic all black sunglasses but never got to do so due to 1. lack of sun 2.lack of budget and 3.absence of “perfect” pair in an affordable price. From the picture, they don’t look very modern at all, they almost seem out-dated but they’re not.They actually look quite up-to-date, while I’m wearing them of course. Never in my dreams did I ever think I’d own anything Armani; they’re under the radar for me. I have since discontinued with that practice. I think I love these sunnies!
Now there there, how could a 16 year old kid afford of such thing. Well, it’s this thing called work benefits from my mom. Every 2 years, I get a budget of 300 dollars to spend on “eyewear” Therefore I could afford the 250 something price of these glasses.I can’t wait till it gets sunny and I can show them off to you
ps. Ill try to find a link to buy the same or similar ones, but now I gotta sleep. I actually have to walk to school tomorrow!

I think I’ve made a record for latest birthday celebration in the history of man. Calling Guinness…
So I turned sixteen on the 8th of May and I celebrated it 20 days later. I got presents, we ate cake, played apples to apples, took pictures and popped balloons. I actually had a mini-DIY-photo booth at my party so once I finish editing them, I’ll show you a bunch!
